The Sheep CRC conference is being held in Adelaide just prior to LambEx 2014 (these are two separate events and you need to register for each event).

The focus of the CRC conference will be on providing practical, take home messages for breeders, producers and companies in the meat and wool supply chains.

The conference proceedings will be in the form of a series of new “Practical Wisdom” notes designed to provide clear guidelines on how to use new information created during the CRC and these notes will be available on the CRC website following the conference.

The Conference Program will include:

  • New  opportunities in genetics resulting from genomics
  • Applying new knowledge of meat science and consumer eating quality
  • Improving sheep and their management
  • Implications of measuring and managing wool quality
  • The ongoing benefits of education and training

Due to the Sheep CRC being granted funding for an extension for another five years, from 1 July 2014 - 30 June 2019, the last session will cover 'Opportunities to plan for in the next five years'.

The CRC is organising buses to transport attendees from the CRC conference to the LambEx welcome function, which is being held on the evening of 9th July.
