Sheep CRC Conference 2010

To be held in Adelaide on 20-21 October 2010

Venue: The Shores Function Complex, Cnr Hamra & Military Road, West Beach, Adelaide

This will be the sheep industry's premier event for the year with a packed 2-day program covering all of the Sheep CRC's results to date.

Program
  • The Conference program will be available from 1 August.
  • The Conference will commence with arrival registration and collection of delegate packs at 9.00am on Wednesday 20 October.
  • The Conference will conclude at 3.30pm on Thursday 21 October.
Registration, cost and payment
  • Registration will open from 1 August, with the registration form downloadable from this website.
  • The Conference will be heavily subsidised by the Sheep CRC and its partners. You are asked to pay for 1 day's attendance and the other day is free.
  • At this greatly reduced rate there will be no partial registrations or discounts.
  • The cost includes morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea each day as well as drinks and BBQ on the Wednesday evening. You will also receive the proceedings (a special edition of the CSIRO Journal of Animal Production Science) and an additional booklet of auxiliary papers.
  • The cost is $150.00 inclusive of GST (no discounts or partial registrations will be accepted).
  • Payment will be accepted by cheque, money order, direct deposit and credit card (only Visa and Mastercard accepted). 
  • Registration and payment closes 30 September.
Venue and Accommodation
  • The Conference will be held at The Shores Complex at West Beach, Adelaide, South Australia.
  • A large selection of accommodation can be found at the nearby suburb of Glenelg.
  • The Shores Complex and Glenelg are a few kilometres apart and each is about 5-10 minutes from the airport.
  • Adelaide city is a few kilometres on the other side of the airport from The Shores Complex.
  • There are also self-contained cabins and a caravan park alongside The Shores Complex, however there appears to be little in the way of dining options there.
  • Public buses run between Glenelg and The Shores Complex, however taxis or shared vehicles will be the most usual options.
Dining
  • Glenelg has a large variety of cafes and restaurants.
Sheep CRC Staff

  • Sheep CRC staff are required to register and pay to attend the Conference.
Individuals should use the registration form (available for download from 1 August) and associated payment options. Alternatively, for group payments (such as from one organisation) please contact Rhonda Brooks, Finance Officer on 02 6773 3713 or via email at rbrooks4@une.edu.au
