Sheep Genetics and the Sheep CRC will be hosting a Genetics Service Provider Training Workshop in Melbourne on May 5, 6 and 7 this year.
This workshop will combine the annual Service Provider Training Workshop run by Sheep Genetics and the Sheep CRC’s Genomics Service Provider training. The workshop will be held at the Holiday Inn at Melbourne Airport.
We encourage service providers who have attended previously to come along and receive the latest information from our R&D programs. We also welcome service providers who have not participated previously to come along for Day 1 and Day 2.
Will be a refresher on the principles of genetic gain and calculation of breeding values.
Will provide an update on the latest updates to the LAMBPLAN and MERINOSELECT analyses, new tools, research projects and activities at the Sheep CRC, AGBU and Sheep Genetics.
We are seeking Expressions of Interest from Service Providers to remain for an additional day and receive training in the use of MATESEL, which has now been released through the Sheep Genetics website. This third day is best suited to service providers who are actively involved in developing breeding programs with clients.
Please confirm your attendance for Day 1 and Day 2 to Lu Hogan, Sheep CRC via email to email@example.com or by phone on 0427 687432.
If you are interested in staying on for Day 3 please also submit your interest to Lu Hogan – detailing your current level of involvement in breeding program advice to ram breeders.
Sheep Genetics and Sheep CRC will cover all conference costs including breakfast and dinner.
Attendees are asked to book and pay for their own travel and accommodation (conference rate $195/night) at the Holiday Inn.
