Sheep CRC Concept to Impact Conference - Adelaide - 9 July 2014

Wednesday the 9th of July

This conference will be held in Adelaide on 9th July prior to the LambEx welcome event which will be held on the evening of 9th July.

The Sheep CRC was established in July 2007 for a seven-year term to undertake a program of research and delivery of innovation to the Australian sheep industry. With the current term nearing its end, the Sheep CRC is preparing for its Final Conference.

The Sheep CRC will report back on its successful campaign in converting research concepts into a series of practical and profitable tools which will continue to transform the sheep industry for years to come.

The conference will focus on providing practical, take home messages for breeders, producers and companies in the meat and wool supply chains.

The conference proceedings will be in the form of a series of new “Practical Wisdom” notes designed to provide clear guidelines on how to use new information created during the CRC and these notes will be available on the CRC website following the conference.

The Conference Program will include:

  •   New  opportunities in genetics
  •   Applying new knowledge of meat science and consumer eating quality
  •   Improving sheep and their management
  •   Implications of measuring and managing wool quality
  •   The ongoing benefits of education and training
