The CRC for Sheep Industry Innovation is a collaboration between Australia's leading sheep research, education and commercial institutes.

It aims to lead industry in the transformation of wool, meat and the sheep that produce them, to improve sheep enterprise profitability, sustainability and business appeal.

The Sheep CRC portfolio is targeting both genetic and non-genetic factors affecting wool and meat quality and quantity, as well as integrated management systems, sheep reproduction and parasite control. Adoption-focused research is also a priority for our postgraduate program.

Integrated research programs link studies of wool science, meat science, microbiology, biochemistry, physiology, growth and nutrition, molecular and quantitative genetics and marketing, adoption and electronic sheep management systems in a framework of sheep industry issues.

Applications are welcome year-round and will be assessed bi-annually in competitive rounds.
