Graduate Certificate in Rural Science (Agricultural Consulting)

Advanced standing for one elective unit:

The Graduate Certificate course rules specify that one elective unit must be a current enrolment at UNE.
The other elective can be credited by one of three alternative ways (listed below) under the University’s Advanced Standing rules.
Each of these alternatives must be deemed to be equivalent to units offered by the University of New England and approved for the course (i.e. level 3 and above and agriculture-related).

In all instances these must be approved in advance by the Course Coordinator (Lisa Lobry de Bruyn).

Alternate methods to gain advanced standing credit toward one elective unit:

1.
A unit previously studied at UNE or another university that does not contribute to the prerequisite degree for the Graduate Certificate in Rural Science and may or may not have been part of a completed course.

2.     A unit studied at another university during the enrolment in the Graduate Certificate in Rural Science (Agricultural Consulting).

3.     On the basis of considerable professional experience that can be demonstrated with a portfolio.

Please contact the CSLT Unit Coordinator (Deborah Maxwell) in the first instance if you wish to take advantage of one of these alternatives.
