The Sheep CRC has been privileged to have the support of most of the major providers, managers and users of research in the Australian Sheep Industry. These organisations have signed up to the CRC as Participants and/or Members and have contributed substantial in-kind and cash to the CRC.

Australian Meat Processor Corporation (AMPC)

Australian Meat Processor Corporation (AMPC) is a national Research and Development Centre, representing all processors active in the red meat processing industry. Specifically, AMPC aims to promote, protect and further the rights and mutual interests of its Members.


Australian Wool Innovation (AWI)

Creating new products, marketing the benefits of wool, building existing markets and opening new ones.


Australian Wool Testing Authority (AWTA)

AWTA aims to assist or promote the development of the pastoral, agricultural, manufacturing and industrial resources of Australia, in particular, by providing independent objective data and information services which will facilitate the efficient production, marketing and processing of wool, other fibres, textile products and related materials.


Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO)

CSIRO, the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation, is Australia's national science agency and one of the largest and most diverse research agencies in the world.

Department of Primary Industries, Victoria (DPI VIC)

The Department of Primary Industries, Victoria (DPI VIC) designs and delivers Government policies and programs that enable Victoria's primary and energy industries to sustainably maximise the wealth and well being they generate.

 

Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation (DEEDIQLD)

The Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation (DEEDIQLD) has a vision of 'profitable primary industries for Queensland', and supports strategic industry development at all stages of the industry lifecycle and throughout the entire value chain - from production to consumption.

JRL Hall & Co

JRL Hall and Co is a long standing, Darkan based firm of farm management and production consultants with daily contact with their client base and a clear understanding of the issues facing that client base. We consult directly to over 100 individual sheep and wool farm businesses representing a total in excess of 1,000,000 sheep. Collectively this represents 5% of the Western Australian wool clip and over 1% of the National sheep flock.

Holmes Sackett Pty Ltd is a New South Wales based firm focused on providing independent business information to the Australian agricultural sector, both to primary producers as well as to the agricultural service division.

Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) 

Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) is a producer-owned company, working in partnership with industry and Government to achieve a profitable and sustainable red meat and livestock industry.  MLA has the unique responsibility of providing marketing and research services to its 43,500 livestock producer members and the broader red meat industry to help them meet community and consumer expectations.

Mike Stephens & Associates

MS&A offer farm systems, human resource management, and agricultural investment advice to farm businesses, agri-business, Government and industry. MS&A have strong experience, credibility and the scope of expertise and geographical cover to deliver results through project management, research and extension or working one to one.

Sheepmeat Council of Australia (SCA)

Representing and promoting the national and international interests of lamb and sheepmeat producers in Australia, SCA's goal is to deliver professional policy development and lobbying outcomes that enhance the integrity, profitability and sustainability of the Australian Sheepmeat industry.

South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI)

SARDI is a world-class research and development institute delivering innovation to enhance the food, fibre and bioscience industries and living environmental systems in southern Australia.

University of New England (UNE) 

UNE is internationally recognised as one of the great teaching and research universities. The university undertakes fundamental and applied research in many disciplines. Collaborative research with other institutions includes projects with the CSIRO and the high profile Cooperative Research Centres. Through its research UNE assists in the economic, social and cultural advancement of Australia and in the advanced training of undergraduate and postgraduate students.

WoolProducers Australia

WoolProducers Australia is the peak national body for the wool growing industry in Australia. WoolProducers Australia develops and advocates policy and represents the industry on issues as diverse as trade, animal health and welfare, research and development, marketing, accountability of grower funds, taxation and compulsory levies, climate change and industrial relations.

 

University of Tasmania (UTAS)

UTAS is a partnership between staff and students who work together in the areas of core business for the University: achieving excellence in teaching and learning and research. UTAS offers one of the widest range of courses in Australia (100 undergraduate courses) yet is small enough (just over 20,000 students) to provide an environment where each student can enter into a partnership with staff to achieve their goals.
